Momentum School of Dance has been Ramicah’s dream since a very early age. All roads have led to this venture. A desire to provide the community with a school that is dedicated to the nurturing and development of all dancers, inspired Ramicah to leap into this wonderful opportunity. After studying dance and working at Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, Ramicah returned to Minnesota bringing with her some of the newest crazes in hip hop, jazz and lyrical. Ramicah is a former competitive dancer and instructor of Center Stage Dance Academy of Richfield, Minnesota, where she had the opportunity to study many forms and styles of dance. An alumnus of the Southwest Laker Dance Team, she returned to the team to coach through four very successful seasons. During her coaching term, Ramicah studied dance locally and became a member of the MR2 Hip Hop Crew, a dancer for Nu Vibe Records and for Knight Productions. Ramicah has worked with many local dance studios, show choirs, dance teams and community education programs teaching dance to all ages. She also is very proud of her 5-year term as head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach for the state champion Knightette Dance Team of Benilde-St. Margaret’s. Ramicah has also been honored with eighteen choreography and entertainment awards from regional dance competitions. Thank you to all that have dedicated numerous hours and have supported Momentum School of Dance and our mission. This dream would not have come to life without you.
As Momentum enters its 17th year, we celebrate all of our students and are proud to call Momentum a family.
Jordan Garrison is a recent graduate of Grand Canyon University, where she earned a dual degree in Dance Performance and Human Resources. Her passion for dance began at Delmonico Dance and continued at Momentum Dance Project, where she served as captain of the Competitive Team and performed with the Pre-Professional Company, Project 3. During high school, she was a member of Eastridge High School’s fall dance team and toured nationally as a ProReveler with Revel Dance Convention, assisting top choreographers and gaining early industry exposure.
At GCU, Jordan trained extensively in modern, jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, improvisation and choreography. She performed in numerous faculty concerts and student-led showcases while also premiering original choreographic works. In 2025, her piece Transcendental8 was selected for presentation at the American College Dance Association’s Northwest Conference, highlighting her emerging choreographic voice. One of her proudest achievements was performing with Rihanna in the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show, which affirmed her readiness for high-level commercial opportunities.
As an educator, Jordan is committed to creating technically rigorous yet supportive spaces where dancers feel empowered to grow. She encourages creative exploration and individuality in her classes. She focuses on developing strong foundations by using anatomy-based corrections and training dancers to understand the musical and physical intention behind their movement. Jordan also prioritizes building a strong sense of community by celebrating progress, fostering peer collaboration, and modeling professionalism in the studio. She believes dancers thrive when they feel seen, supported, and challenged and is passionate about helping the next generation discover their full artistic potential.
Amy started dancing when she was 3 years old and immediately fell in love with it. She grew up competing with both studio and school dance teams in Minnesota. Amy graduated from the University of Minnesota with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and went on to work with children in intensive mental health settings, where she has continued to work for 7+ years.
Amy has experience teaching dancers of all ages and abilities and has toured the country teaching dance intensives. Amy coached the dance team at Rockford High School, where the jazz team advanced to the State competition in 2016 and 2017.
Amy specializes in jazz, lyrical, and contemporary technique and choreography, and she enjoys creating a nonjudgemental space for improv and stylized movement. Amy believes that dance offers a space for creativity, expression, and constant learning opportunities. She loves seeing the progress dancers make in their skills, confidence, and expression throughout the year. Amy is passionate about mentoring children and teens through the art of dance, and she is excited to join the Momentum School of Dance Staff.
Alysse Lensing found her passion for dancing through studio competitive dance in Forest Lake, Minnesota, learning technique and choreography in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and modern from a wide array of dedicated instructors. While attending the University of Wisconsin - River Falls (UWRF), she took the opportunity to dance for the university’s contemporary & modern based program Dance Theatre, leading her into professional and company work for choreographers Danielle Ricci-Cheng (Borealis Dance, Minneapolis, MN), Jordann Abbe & Ricardo Suarez (Enkindle Dance, Duluth, MN), Rana Kueber, and Mari Kline-Kluck. During her time at UWRF, she pursued her love of arts education by founding the university’s Tap Club, teaching students from an array of dancing and non-dancing backgrounds the joys of tap dancing and performing in shows across several different university campuses. After college, Alysse continued teaching tap, ballet, modern/lyrical, and jazz/musical theatre for recreational and competitive teams at Plié Dance Academy in Oak Park Heights. She is overjoyed to continue her journey as a dance teacher and choreographer at Momentum School of Dance with the next generation of passionate dancers and artists!
